Missing many, many pieces

I purchased for my son. Our first road bump was no instructions. So had to pay separately to have those for one week only. Then, as he completed steps, pieces would be missing. This continued throughout entire project. He used old Lego pieces he had to complete. Most of the roof pieces were missing. Would not purchase from company again.
