What an amazing set. Just like with the Simpsons house set, I was able to build this using the Lego instructions off the builder app. Being able to do this reinforces my appreciation of Joy Bricks strict attention to detail in the sets they sell. I did have problems with the gearbox but to be fair, I had trouble with the other 2 hypercars I have one being the Bugatti which is Lego made, and the Ferrari Daytona which I bought as a replica from a different seller before learning of Joy Bricks. So gear boxes may just be a problem for me. Everything else went perfectly smoothly with this McLaren build though. I will note that when the set came it had 1 broken Technic beam that Joy Bricks shipped to me right away at no charge. I was fortunate to be able to move past it and keep building for a couple of stages but it was fine to take a break anyway. I cannot say how much I was thrilled to see all the bags were numbered according to stages. There were one or two bags that had bigger pieces that were more for the outer shell and some longer than normal Technic beams. But to be fair, I think Lego does the same thing. I was also please that there was a sticker pack that came, but relieved that it must have been a spare because all my pieces were printed and no stickers were needed. That was awesome.

3893 pcs McLaren P1 1:8

This is my third set from Joy. I had a tiny bag missing which included the rubberbands, but contacted support, and they sent it to me ASAP.

there’s a lot of missing pieces and broken pieces i had to mod and tape together im half way through the set

This car is amazing. There is no box just a cardboard box with a bunch of the bags inside, but it is very rewarding. The gearbox doesn’t work, but that’s OK. Also, the blue pieces are really hard to put in, but that is about it other than that, the car is amazing and I do recommend.
