After completing Hedwig and Wall-E made by no-name companies, I was a bit sceptical whether the LEJI Ornithopter will be fun to build.
Luckily, the brick quality is rather good, there was nothing missing in the set and there were no malformed bricks.
After assembly, the set behaves the way I'd expect it to - there are no problems with the mechanisms, bricks are not falling apart or breaking, everything looks and works good.
The only small nitpick I could come up with are the "glass" bricks, they are a bit scratched and look a bit old.
Another thing is that the instructions often skip detailed description of steps and you have to very carefully examine every stage as some bricks are not explicitly shown as being added, they just "appear" on a finished product. Sometimes it was unclear which way the pieces were meant to be rotated or to what exactly they are supposed to be added to - I would consider it to be an advanced set.
Third slight issue is that minifigures are flimsy and are coming apart easily, also their equipment is different than in the instruction (e.g normal sword instead of krisknife). The stand Baron is supposed to be standing on is not working at all, I would probably have to glue it.
Having in mind how the set costs compared to the original, this is definitely a bargain, especially given that after assembly it is almost indistinguishable from the counterpart produced by the "known brick producer". The quality of bricks was good and I'm very satisfied with the end result.
